Sweet & Maxwell Ltd published in May 2011, the Principles of Corporate Insolvency Law 4th ed by Professor Sir Roy M Goode, a book which tries to find and offer solutions to divers legal issues from corporate insolvency law.

The author talks about history and foundations of Corporate Insolvency Law (Chpter 1 & 2), focuses on principles and concept (Chapter 3 & 4) and continues with pointing the problem areas in legislation, case law and practice, analysis of administration to take into account the ongoing effect of the Enterprise Act, as well as discusses developments in international insolvency law as they affect proceedings in the UK, including many important cross-border insolvency decisions.

About the author: Professor Sir Roy Goode is Emeritus Professor of Law at the University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of St. John’s College, Oxford. He is a Doctor of Laws in the University of London and a Doctor of Civil Law in the University of Oxford, and the author of numerous other textbooks, including Commercial Law, Legal Problems of Credit and Security and Payment Obligations in Commercial and Financial Transactions.

The current the 4th edition of the book, has been comprehensively revised and updated, continuing focusing on fundamental concepts and principles and their application to practical problems.
