This is a joint conference between the American Bar Association and the Paris Bar Association on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The program will focus on international human rights and the Declaration of International Human Rights with its dynamic expression of the indivisibility, interdependence, and universal nature of human rights. Panelists will discuss how rights protection and fulfillment have evolved because of and since the UDHR’s codification and what it means for newly developing and as yet unexamined norms in a constantly changing world.

The following section will continue with the influence of human rights in the private sphere: new risks and responsibilities for businesses. Between speakers we mention Maritza T. The presentation will show how international and domestic businesses are adjusting their practices to take into account human rights issues in practice areas including contracts, litigation, and corporate mergers and acquisitions.
